Executives from the Consumer Electronics and Home Appliances (CEHA) Alliance of Ghana paid a courtesy call on the Acting Executive Secretary of the Energy Commission, Mrs. Eunice Biritwum, in Accra last week Wednesday
The meeting served to formally introduce the association to the new Executive Secretary of the Commission.
Welcoming the CEHA Alliance delegation, Mrs. Biritwum expressed her delight at meeting such an important stakeholder. She outlined plans the Commission is implementing to better manage energy efficiency in the country.
Nii Ayi Hyde, President of CEHA Alliance, conveyed the association’s good wishes to the new Executive Secretary and assured her of the Alliance’s continued support for the Commission’s efforts to regulate the consumer electronics and electrical appliances market.
Mr. Hyde was accompanied by Ramesh Sadhwani, Advisor to the Executive Committee of the Alliance, and Jerry Halm, the Alliance’s Executive Secretary. Representatives from major importers of electronics brands, including Hisense, Samsung, Pearl and Binatone, also attended.
The Energy Commission was represented by managers from the Energy Efficiency Regulations team, including Assistant Manager Hubert Nsor Zan, Manager Richard Donkor and Deputy Director Kennedy Amankwa.
CEHA Alliance, registered in October 2023, is a trade association representing major importers and dealers of consumer electronics and home appliances in Ghana.
