ASA Savings and Loans donates to Ayensukrom No.2 MA KG/Primary

ASA Savings and Loans, a leading financial firm has presented school furniture and sporting gears to help teaching and learning, and also support physical activities of the basic school.

The items include five hexagonal tables with 30 chairs, two set of teachers’ table and chairs, a football, and a set of jersey.

At brief presentation at  the school in the Prestea Huni-Valley Municipality of the Western Region, Isaac Boakoh, the Area Manager of ASA said the company responded to a request from the school after it was revealed that the school needed this intervention badly.

Before this kind gesture, most of the early beginners of the school did not have furniture to sit on, while some teachers had dilapidated desk for effective teaching and learning.

Mr. Boakoh said,”This support forms part of ASA’s corporate social responsibility and it is something we do out of love and duty”. He disclosed that the set of jersey and football presented are meant to promote sports and increase the mental ability of the pupils.

The Headteacher of the school, Doreen Ampoful, expressed joy and made it known to the team from ASA that this intervention will not be taken for granted. “This donation will go a long way to improve on the quality of education we deliver to the communities around.” She also pleaded with other benevolent individuals and organizations to extend support to them by providing decent toilet facilities and renovation of their KG classroom block.

The Nbrantehene of Ayensukrom No. 2. Isaac Antwi, on behalf of the  community thanked management of ASA Savings and Loans for the support and prayed for growth of business so that company can continue supporting the needy and vulnerable in society.
