After an extensive refurbishment, Mamprobi residents now have access to an improved physiotherapy and wellness facility after the reopening of the Legoe Physio and Wellness Centre.
The renovation, which was valued at over GHȼ200,000, was made possible through the generous support of the Edward Osei Boakye Trust Fund.
The centre, which provides subsidized healthcare services, particularly for the elderly, serves a community where many residents face economic challenges. To showcase the improved facility and engage the public, the centre’s management organized an Open Day on 6th March 2025, coinciding with the official reopening.
Speaking at the event, the Executive Secretary of the Edward Osei Boakye Trust Fund, Mr. Gerard Osei Boakye, reaffirmed the Trust’s commitment to supporting the aged and underprivileged in society. “This initiative is in line with our mission to improve the lives of vulnerable groups by ensuring they have access to essential health and wellness services,” he said.
Prof. Jonathan Quartey, CEO of Legoe Physio and Wellness Centre, expressed his profound gratitude for the support.
He emphasised the impact of the refurbishment, noting that it has enhanced the centre’s ability to provide quality care. “We deeply appreciate the Edward Osei Boakye Trust Fund’s generosity and look forward to future collaborations to bring wellness to everyone’s doorstep,” Prof. Quartey stated.
The newly upgraded facility is expected to enhance physiotherapy and wellness services for the Mamprobi community significantly, reaffirming the centre’s dedication to accessible and affordable healthcare.
