A responsible gaming brand committed to community development in an industry often associated with profit-making, 22Bet Ghana is redefining what it means to be a responsible gaming company.

Since entering the Ghanaian market less than five years ago, the company has demonstrated a deep commitment to uplifting communities, going beyond entertainment to make tangible social impacts.

Through its philanthropic arm, the THX 22 Foundation, 22Bet Ghana has undertaken life changing projects that address critical needs such as clean water access, healthcare, disaster relief, and responsible gaming awareness.

These initiatives are not just about fulfilling corporate social responsibility (CSR) obligations—they are about creating lasting change in the lives of thousands of Ghanaians.

Investing in Clean Water for Communities

Access to clean and safe drinking water remains a significant challenge for many rural communities in Ghana. In 2023, THX 22 Foundation made a transformative contribution to the Awutu Samsamsu Number 2 community in the Awutu-Senya West District of the Central Region by constructing and handing over a robust and accessible water facility. This initiative has provided over 500 locals with a sustainable source of potable water, reducing waterborne diseases and improving their quality of life.

Building on this success, in 2024, the foundation further expanded its efforts by inaugurating a borehole at Have-Fiakpokorpe in the Akatsi South Municipality of the Volta Region. The main focus of the 22Bet Ghana CSR policy in Ghana is to provide clean and accessible water by constructing mechanized boreholes for the very needy communities who may not even be customers of the company.

This is to contribute to addressing the acute water shortage in rural Ghana where under 60% have access to clean water as compared to 96.4% according to Oxfam, UNICEF, and Ghana Water Company Limited. This is also in line with contributing to SDG 6, which advocates for availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation for all.

Supporting Disaster Victims and Health Initiatives

Beyond infrastructure development, THX 22 Foundation has also extended financial support to victims of natural disasters. In 2024, the foundation donated GHS10,000 to assist those affected by the Volta Dam spillage, a catastrophe that displaced thousands and left many in urgent need of assistance.

The foundation has also been at the forefront of health advocacy, particularly in the fight against breast cancer.

In October 2024, to mark Breast Cancer Awareness Month, THX 22 partnered with Danpong Community Hospital to conduct free breast cancer screenings for over 100 women at the Texpo Market in Spintex, Accra. This initiative underscored the organization’s commitment to SDG 3—Good Health and Wellbeing—by ensuring early detection and raising awareness about a disease that affects thousands of Ghanaian women annually.

Advocating for Responsible Gaming Gaming awareness and responsible betting remain top priorities for 22Bet Ghana. In September 2024, THX 22 made a substantial donation of GHS20,000 to support the observation of Gaming Awareness Month in Ghana.

This initiative aimed to educate the public on the importance of responsible gaming and the potential risks of gambling addiction. The company’s active involvement in such campaigns reaffirms its position as a responsible gaming brand that prioritizes the well-being of its customers.

A Commitment Beyond Profits

Unlike many companies in the gaming industry that focus solely on revenue generation, 22Bet Ghana has consistently demonstrated a people-centered approach to business. By investing in water infrastructure, health initiatives, disaster relief, and gaming awareness, the company is not just fulfilling its corporate social responsibility but also actively contributing to the broader national development agenda.

The THX 22 Foundation’s initiatives align closely with multiple SDGs, including SDG 3 (Good Health and Well-being), SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), and SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities). These strategic investments reflect a business philosophy that sees profitability as a means to drive social impact rather than an end in itself.

The Future of 22Bet Ghana’s Community Investments

Looking ahead, 22Bet Ghana and THX 22 Foundation are poised to expand their CSR footprint by identifying and addressing more pressing societal needs. Whether through more water projects, healthcare initiatives, or educational support, the company remains committed to uplifting communities and ensuring a lasting positive impact.

At a time when corporate responsibility is being scrutinized more than ever, 22Bet Ghana continues to set an example of what ethical gaming should look like—one where business success is measured not just in financial terms but in the lives positively impacted along the way.

Total Population Impacted

Through its various CSR activities, 22Bet Ghana, via the THX 22 Foundation, has positively impacted the lives of over 5,000 people across different communities in Ghana.
