Chocolate is a symbol of love in the food world. February depicts love and the ‘black forest cake’ is a perfect choice for you the month.
This lavish German traditional desert is made up of multiple layers of chocolate sponge cake bathed with whipped cream and cherries.
For aesthetic purposes, you can design the cake with chocolate chips and cherries. A quick tip is to slice the cake when it is cold to make it easy and smooth. Enjoy this finger licking recipe with your friends, family and spouses in the season of love.
Ingredients:
Soft flour 225g
Condensed milk 400g
Cocoa powder 3tbsp
Dainess Baking Powder 1tsp
Dainess Baking Soda 1tsp
Dainess Margarine 125g
Aerated cola drink 200ml
Salt pinch
Visyon Whipping Cream 250g
Dairy milk chocolate bar 125g
Dainess Red Cherries 10g
Instructions:
- Melt Dainess Margarine in a thick bottom pan, set aside to cool.
- Add condensed milk and mix well.
- Sift flour, cocoa powder, Dainess Baking Powder, Dainess Baking Soda and salt together, mix well with hand whisk.
- In a bowl with a little Dainess Margarine, put the flour mixture, butter-milk mixture and mix together well.
- Add the aerated cola drink and mix well.
- Pour batter into the prepared pan and bake for 30-40 minutes at 175.C.
- Let it cool and split horizontally into two.
- Whip Vizyon powder into cream until light and fluffy and use it to sandwich the two layers together with Dainess Red Cherries.
- Top again with the Vizyon whipped cream and Dainess Red Cherries
- Grate dairy milk chocolate bar and sprinkle over the cake
- Serve it chilled
Note: To prepare the baking pan, grease the pan with a little margarine and dust with a little flour
