The Tamale Area of the Social Security and National Insurance Trust (SSNIT) has expressed gratitude to institutions and members for their commitment to investing in their future through the SSNIT scheme.

Speaking during a visit to Kaci Prestige Ltd. on National Chocolate Day, the SSNIT Tamale Area Manager, Mr. Festus Dark-Preko, acknowledged the contributions of members, especially start-ups, which have helped sustain the Trust and secure their investments for retirement or inactive service.

“At SSNIT, we are committed to protecting our customers’ investments. The Trust is an indigenous Ghanaian institution contributing to the country’s economic growth,” Mr. Dark-Preko said.

As part of the celebration, the Area Manager, accompanied by the Communications Officer – Madam Munkaila Fauzia and other staff, presented chocolates and souvenirs to the employees of Kaci Prestige Ltd. as Valentine’s Day gift.

The SSNIT team also used the opportunity to educate informal sector workers on the importance of the Self-Employed Enrolment Drive (SEED) and the need to register for social security to safeguard their future.

According to Mr. Dark-Preko, the selection of Kaci Prestige Ltd. and other organisations was due to their dedication to fulfilling their obligations to the SSNIT scheme. He emphasised the Trust’s commitment to strengthening relationships with employers who play a vital role in national development.

“Employers are key partners in national development, and we encourage all businesses – big and small – to secure the future of their workers by enrolling them on the SSNIT scheme,” he urged.

He reiterated SSNIT’s mission to provide income security for workers, ensuring they can retire with dignity and independence.

“This is not the first time we are celebrating our customers. In 2024, we visited markets to engage with self-employed members who have chosen to secure their future with SSNIT,” he added.

The Director of Kaci Prestige Ltd., Alhaji Saani Abdul Wahab, expressed appreciation to SSNIT for recognising and supporting start-ups in the Tamale area.

“On behalf of Kaci Prestige and other firms, we are grateful to SSNIT for this gesture. It strengthens our relationship and reinforces the importance of securing the future of our employees through social security contributions,” he said.

He further assured SSNIT of their continued commitment to meeting their obligations and safeguarding the future of their employees.
