The Yamoransa Model (YM) Labs Program, funded by the Helping Africa Foundation (HAF) and managed by IMPLEMENTERS, is excited to announce the fourth edition of the Annual Impact Roundtable Discussion (AIRTAD) and Robotics Competition, taking place from 22nd to 26th February 2025.
It is under theme: “The Yamoransa Model Impact Year: Scaling the Successes of Bridging Educational Gaps with Technology.”
For the past nine years, the YM Labs Program has pioneered Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and STEAM education to underserved communities across Ghana and other African countries.
The Yamoransa Model aims to provide an opportunity for students to expand their STEAM education through practical experience.
The programme has empowered primary, junior and secondary school students with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in today’s digital world.
AIRTAD serves as a platform to celebrate the remarkable achievements of the YM Labs Program while fostering critical discussions on the future of STEAM education in Ghana.
This year’s event is in two parts: The preliminary competitions which takes place on 22nd and 24th February 2025 at the Academic City University, Accra. And the main event will be held on 25th-26th February 2025 at the Cedi Conference Center, University of Ghana, Legon. The event is scheduled as follows:

February 22 – Preliminary competitions begin among participating schools.

February 24 – Day 2 of preliminary competitions continues.

February 25 – Roundtable discussions on the YM Labs as a blueprint for sustainability, exhibitions showcasing projects by students from the YM Labs and a networking mixer which brings together policymakers, academia and key industry leaders.

February 26 – Finals of the Robotics Competition featuring students from YM Labs, guest Lecture on ethical considerations for AI in the classroom, lightning talks aveand an awards ceremony recognising the most innovative student projects from YM Labs.
