Speaking at an onboarding ceremony, the Executive Director of the UN Global Compact Network Ghana, Tolu Kweku Lacroix, said the Compact supports companies in aligning with ESG regulations and enhancing their contributions to sustainability.
Through its membership, GlobalNet Procurement gains access to resources and tools designed to help accelerate its impact on global sustainability efforts. Mina Pokuaa Agyemang, Participant Engagement Manager at the UN Global Compact Network Ghana, emphasized the relevance of the Ten Principles of the Compact, and its alignment with global ESG ratings.
She urged the company’s stakeholders to actively participate in efforts to achieve measurable progress.
GlobalNet Procurement’s Managing Director, Kwame Kwakye, called on other businesses to join the Compact, highlighting the importance of collective action in building a sustainable global economy.
“The UN Global Compact provides toolkits and platforms that organizations can leverage to improve their operations,” he said.
He added that addressing ESG issues is no longer optional for businesses, stressing that the Compact offers valuable frameworks to drive positive change.
The company’s membership, Mr. Kwakye said, is a step toward contributing meaningfully to global sustainability goals while reinforcing its leadership role in the procurement sector.
