He also outlined some social interventions they have embarked on this year and expressed his appreciation to guests and staff for their support and contributions toward the growth of the hotel over the last decade.

Reflecting on Kempinski’s journey over the last decade, he highlighted the hotel’s exceptional service delivery to its clients and the country at large, saying: “For nearly a decade, Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City has stood as a symbol of hospitality, elegance, craftsmanship and service in the heart of Accra; and we are privileged to call Ghana our home”.

In a speech read on his behalf, the Ga Mantse, King Tackie Teiko Tsuru II, congratulated Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City.

As Kempinski’s approaches its 10 anniversary, Mr. Barkhoff unveiled the logo to mark the celebration and further announced some plans for 2025, which include the opening of a new bar and restaurant.

Responding to some challenges identified in the sector, he said: “Honestly, I don’t feel we have a negative impact in our industry. We are working closely with authorities, ministries and other hotels”.
