In a bid to tackle the rising unemployment among women and equip them with valuable skills for economic independence, over 100 women within the Ledzokuku municipality have successfully completed a free skilled training program designed to empower them with job opportunities.
The initiative equipped participants with practical skills in soap making, floor cleaner production, ice cream making, and brown sugar production.
The training program was designed to reduce the unemployment gap within the community and to create job opportunities for women. By providing practical skills, the Adjei Empire Foundation hopes to enable participants to either start their own businesses or secure jobs in related industries.
Speaking at the event, the CEO of Adjei empire foundation mr Samuel Adjei emphasized the foundation’s commitment to improving livelihoods.
“This initiative is part of our broader mission to empower women economically and reduce poverty within our communities. We believe that equipping women with these skills will help them generate income and become financially independent,” he said.
Participants were enthusiastic about the initiative and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to learn new skills. Madam Rachel Narh a beneficiary from the skills training shared her excitement, stating, “Before this training, I had no source of income, but now I have the skills and confidence to start my own small business.”
Kwadwo Asante, another participant shared her excitement, saying, “Learning how to make ice cream and brown sugar has opened my eyes to new opportunities. I am eager to apply what I’ve learned and make a living out of it.”
The foundation’s free skills training program is part of a series of community development efforts aimed at fostering entrepreneurship and reducing unemployment across the country. In addition to the training, participants were provided with starter packs to help them launch their businesses immediately after the event.
The Samuel Adjei Empire Foundation has been at the forefront of community-based initiatives, consistently working to uplift underprivileged groups and create sustainable job opportunities for women and youth.
As unemployment continues to be a pressing issue across the country, such efforts are increasingly vital in addressing the economic challenges facing communities. The foundation has pledged to expand the training to other parts of the country in the coming months.
