Mr. Isaac Kwamina Afful, Chief Executive Officer (CEO)-Lower Pra Rural Bank PLC, has formally handed over the mantle of leadership to his successor, Ernest Nii Tackie Otoo.
At a brief ceremony at Shama in the Western Region, the out-going CEO advised his successor to maintain discipline – which has been the bank’s hallmark for the past 40 years.
“You have been selected to guide the bank to professional and financial success and make best decisions which enhance the bank’s growth and expansion,” he said.
Mr. Afful expressed appreciation to staff, management and the Board of Directors for their hard work, commitment and dedication to duty.
“I am grateful to you all for the love, care and understanding you have exhibited to me all these years; continue with good customer relations and give my successor all the needed support for him to succeed. He is smart, intelligent and has the can-do spirit that will keep the bank at the top as always,” he added
Mr. Ebenezer Dadzie, Chief Executive Officer-Shama District, pointed out that the outgoing CEO has been instrumental in the bank’s expansion – with branches dotted across the region.
He thanked the CEO for being an inspiration and contributing to growth of the local economy. “You have paid your dues for the last 28 years, we will always cherish the love you have shown to us all.”
Nana Brefo Dadzie, Chief of Upper Shama Junction, advised the bank’s staff bank to give their new CEO maximum support for him to succeed.
Mr. Kwaku Sarkodie, Manager-Bank of Ghana, Takoradi, encouraged the new management team to advance compliance on regulatory standards.
He also educated them on need to handle the cedi well and save government from spending on printing.
Ms. Aba Dawood, Board Chairperson, said the former CEO’s achievements are unmatched and wished him well in his political journey.
“We are grateful to you for the sterling contributions and performances which turned around the bank’s fortunes,” she added.
Mr. Eric Okyere, Director-ARB Bank, Western, encouraged the bank to expand current opportunities and grow to occupy the top of rural and community bank rankings.
Mr. Ernest Nii Tackie Otoo, the new CEO, expressed gratitude for the privilege to serve.
He acknowledged the outgoing CEO’s achievements and encouraged unity and continued growth, assuring staff and management that their dedication will propel the organisation to new heights.
