Telecel crowns 11th cycle Dream Car promo winner

Telecel Ghana continues to reward loyalty and engagement through its fan-favourite Dream Car Promo. In an exciting conclusion to the 11th cycle, Ezekiel Tetteh Nartey, a long-time participant, drove home a brand-new Suzuki Swift as nine other lucky winners received brand new iPhone 14.

Ezekiel, Head of Academics at Press Academy in Sunyani, has been part of Telecel’s promotional games for over four years. His dedication first earned him a car in an earlier Telecel, Graphic Communications promotion in 2021; and this year, his persistence paid off once again with a second vehicle.

For Ezekiel, the win was nothing short of surreal. “When I got the call, I was in disbelief,” he said. “I’ve been participating in the promo for years; and though I’ve won before, there were times when I was told to be cautious of such promotions. But this time, it was real and I’m beyond excited. I’m incredibly grateful to Telecel for this opportunity.”



Telecel’s Dream Car Promo allows participants to subscribe for GH¢1 per day, answering five general knowledge questions to earn points. Dedicated players can opt for additional questions to boost their chances of winning at 0.20 pesewas.

The 11th cycle, which ran for nine months, also saw Bolu Janpheri – one of the iphone 14 winners – celebrate his second Telecel trivia win. “I was hoping to win a car this time, but I’m happy with the brand-new iPhone 14,” Janpheri said with a smile. “Even when I faced challenges in the promo, I kept playing and I’m excited to be a two-time winner.”

Echoing his sentiments, Aneth Muga, Head of Customer Value Management, Products & Services at Telecel Ghana, highlighted the integrity of the promotion. “There’s often scepticism around such campaigns, but we ensure everything is conducted with the highest level of transparency. We want all participants to feel confident that they have a fair shot at winning, just like Ezekiel and Bolu.

Following the success of the 11th cycle, Telecel Ghana has unveiled the 12th cycle of the Dream Car Promo with and increased subscription fee of GH¢2 and the following enhanced features:

  • Grand prize upgrade: Moving from the Suzuki Swift winning prize, the brand-new Hyundai Creta is now up for grabs
  • Weekly cash prizes: 11 participants can win up to GH¢2000 every week within the 12th
  • Buy points feature: Purchase additional points to boost winning chances
  • Enhanced rewards for extra questions: GH¢2 for daily subscription and 0.50 pesewas per extra trivia question.

Despite these new features, the core mechanics remain unchanged, with participants earning 100 points for correct answers and 25 points for wrong answers.

The 12th cycle, which started on August 1, 2024, will run for six months till January 31, 2025. To join, customers can subscribe by dialing *2018#. With bigger rewards and new opportunities on the horizon, Telecel’s Dream Car Promo continues to be a hit among its loyal customer base.
