MTN Ghana has made a donation of GH¢10,000 to the La Traditional Area to support its activities for the Homowo festival.
The delegation, led by Chief Customer Relations Officer at MTN, Jemima Kotei Walsh, emphasised MTN’s dedication to supporting the traditions and activities that bring communities together for growth and development.
Ms. Walsh also took the opportunity to inform traditional leaders of the numerous activities they intend to embark on during the festival celebration – which includes an engagement with the people to identify their challenges among others, all in a bid to strengthen their relationship with customers within the community.
She commended the traditional leaders for their support and opportunity given them to transact business with their indigenes, and asked them to remember the telecommunication company in prayers.
Nii Adjei Koofeh (IV), La Shikitele, expressed profound gratitude to MTN for its continued support of the Homowo festival and asked for God’s blessings for the company.
“We are most grateful to MTN Ghana for their love shown to the La traditional council by supporting the festival. It is our prayer that their business will continue to grow,” he said.
He welcomed their plans of engagement with the community, and further encouraged them to consider extending their support through the MTN foundation to address some of the La community’s pressing needs.
“Aside from their Homowo donation, we entreat them to give us other support through their foundation to help the town-folks,” he said.
