Nzema youth praise Angela List for her exquisite role in thriving development in the area

The Nzema youth, in the Ellembelle District of the Western Region, have praised Ms. Angela List, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Adamus Resources Limited for her exquisite role in championing development in communities in the area.

According to them, the CEO has worked hard to transform the lives of the youth, by providing them with job opportunities and trained women to acquire skills for their livelihood to be enhanced.



They have therefore called on the people of Nzema to disregard any report, signifying that the youth, are against her leadership.

These were made known when the youth of Nzema and some opinion leaders, led by the Assembly Member of Nkroful, Francis Kwaw Mensah, took to the street at Nkroful to demonstrate peacefully to show their solidarity and unflinching support for Ms. List.

They held placards some of which read “Leave Angela List Alone”, “Adamus successes largely, is due to Angela List’s exceptional leadership, the company wouldn’t be where it is today without her”, “Angela List is a wonderful example of dignity and servant leadership”, Angela’s consistency shows dedication as a leader who puts the company’ best interest first”.

Others are; “the contributions of Angela List have been crucial to the successes and positive trajectory of Adamus” as well as “we appreciate Madam Angela for prioritizing the employment of Nzema Youth in Adamus”.

Speaking to the media, the Assemblyman for Nkroful, Francis Kwaw Mensah said, “we believe that a peaceful atmosphere and harmony among stakeholders are critical to sustaining the company”.

He said Adamus Resources, needs a peaceful environment to sustain the fortunes and future operations of the mine. “We believe that Madam List, should be allowed to operate and promote the growth of the company and we will also benefit, that’s our plea today.

He mentioned that about 70 percent of staff at Adamus are Nzema’s. Her leadership role, has ensured the development and corporate social responsibility programmes in terms of education, health and the growth of the private sector.

Mr. Mensah said through her initiatives, the Nkroful SHS has been renovated at the cost of GH¢200,000 and also engaged the agriculture teachers at the school to produce chicken and vegetables, supplied to the company.

She has constructed a 12 -unit classrooms for the Teleku Bokazo Primary School to improve access and quality education for children in the area. At Nkroful, she has ensured the registration of community members onto the National Insurance Scheme (NHIS).

Also, he said, she said has provided two 16-seater aqua privy toilets at Anwia and then constructed Anwia Nursery School Block, phase II.

She has provided solar lights in about 11 communities including Bokazo, Anhwia, which ensures there is light 24 hours

Also, he said “the company, which has contract with Liebeherr has employed only females from the Nzema enclave as the drivers of these trucks and a total of almost 700 out of the over 1000 workforce, comes from Nzema.

This, he noted contributes to over 60% of the workforce who benefit directly and more than 1,000 indirectly.

“Madam List is a blessing, a leader with exceptional qualities, working and serving the corporate interest of Nzema. This, is a woman who has the interest of Nzema’s and should be allowed to continue with her good works.”

He continued “this, is a woman who wants to ensure that Ellembelle, where the gold is produced flourishes. She needs a peaceful environment to work and we will benefit more from development than what we see today. Our interest is the survival of Adamus and not the conflicts”.

John Kwame Ellurkeh, Chairman of the Juniour Staff of Adamus Resources indicated that “Madam, has been taking care of all the workers here, none has been sacked. “we will continue to rally behind her for development to continue to thrive in the communities”.
