The Ghana Port and Harbours Authority (GPHA), Takoradi, has presented a cheque for GH¢15,000 and six swivel chairs to the Western Region Chapter of the Ghana Journalists Association (GJA).

The donation aims to aid the association in refurbishing its office and conference hall and to facilitate GJA activities in the region. Additionally, it aims to strengthen the rapport between the two organisations.

Dr. Kingsley Antwi Boasiako, the Public Affairs and Marketing Manager of the Port of Takoradi, presented the cheque and chairs, noting that the gesture is in response to a request made by the GJA for support in refurbishing the association’s office.

“We are grateful for promoting our activities and the continuous support you have given us over the years. We hope the working relationship between the two entities will continue to deepen,” he said.

For his part, Shirley Ewurama Smith, Secretary of the Western Chapter of GJA, expressed appreciation to the Port of Takoradi for the gesture, adding: “The two organisations have over the years had fruitful relationship and will continue going forward”.
