Presidential aspirant Nana Kwame Bediako on Monday, 6th May 2024, at Kwarley’s residence in Accra, launched a crowdfunding platform called the “Save Ghana fund”.
The platform seeks to allow every Ghanaian to contribute to, and have a stake in the development of the country by entrusting their quota to support the industrial revolution agenda being propagated by the New Force movement.
In his speech, he stated that we as a people are responsible for making the world a better place than we came to meet it.
“When we receive money from political leaders as motivation to vote for them, they will surely feel that we owe them when they come into power but when we as a people entrust our resources into the hands of a leader with the expectation that they execute certain projects that benefit the nation, the leader in question, now becomes accountable to the people since they have “invested” into the agenda and are looking to “reap” returns in the form of positive reforms and a better standard of living” he profoundly submitted.
After the platform launched, he announced his contribution of Ghc500,000 as a seed he is sowing into Ghana and declared how visible, accessible, and transparent the fund is.
Mr. Yusif Mohammed, the primary IT consultant at IT Consortium, showcased the functionality of the crowdfunding platform as their technology partner Via website (NKB.com.gh) and shortcode (*887*2004#)
He explained many privacy and convenient features such as its compatibility with Mobile Money across all networks and bank accounts that facilitate flexible payment.
In attendance was Mr. James Quarcoo who is a leading member of the New Force and Mr Eugene Osafo Nkansah, president of the New Media Association.
