Businesses urged to become sustainable by adopting proactive strategies

Businesses have been admonished to adopt proactive management strategies and principles to ensure their sustainability in an unpredictable and swiftly changing global economic landscape, while rising above mere rhetoric as they strive toward becoming competitive.

According to the CEO of Askia Immigration Consulting Services, Marie Keita Amarteifio – who was speaking at a business networking event organised by Horizons Offices Ltd. in Accra, this is the sure way by which they can navigate and clear hurdles posed by the current macro environment and be resilient in the face of other external uncertainties.

“In today’s rapidly changing global economic landscape, the concept of building a sustainable business transcends mere rhetoric – it has become an imperative. My company is a testament to the success that can be achieved through such principles, and we remain dedicated to not just weathering the storms of change but emerging stronger and more resilient on the other side,” she added.



While acknowledging that building a sustainable business within the present macroenvironment requires a blend of professionalism, strategic networking and commitment to continuous learning, she maintained that remaining abreast of current information, trends, consistently upgrading skills and embracing learning opportunities are essential for building a sustainable business.

Despite the challenges posed by current macroeconomic conditions, she encouraged businesses to continue exhibiting commitment toward professional service delivery in order to maintain their standing. “Professionalism is not just a practice – it is a catalyst that ensures client satisfaction and stands as a cornerstone in building a sustainable business,” she further said.

Shedding light on the topic for discussion Building a Sustainable Business within the present Macro Environment after the event, the Country Manager-Horizons Offices Ghana Ltd. indicated that: “This time around the focus is on sustainability; because in this macroenvironment where you have high inflation, high policy rate and an unstable exchange rate, you need a solution that will keep your business sustainable otherwise you will not survive. We are seeking to drive home that our businesses need to be sustainable so we can remain in operation,” he elaborated.

The event brought together company clients such as: Cote d’Ivoire-Ghana Cocoa Initiative; Dubai Chamber; Askia Immigration Consulting Services; British International Investment (BII) and many others, with the purpose of networking, bonding and sharing ideas with them.

He further encouraged businesses to build strategic alliances, reduce cost and network regularly in order to navigate challenges posed by the broader economic landscape. “Networking and strategic partnerships are key for success in the present macroenvironment,” he added.
