The Chartered Institute of Administrators and Management Consultants-Ghana (CIAMC) recently held its 22nd annual graduation and induction ceremony, welcoming 450 newly licensed professionals.
Of the 450, 134 qualified as Chartered Management Consultants, 79 as Chartered Administrators, and 221 as Chartered Administrator Associates.
The inductees completed CIAMC’s rigorous multi-part training and examination process focused on areas like professional administrative practices, management consultancy, training development, strategic auditing, and legal studies.
The program aims to develop qualified, licensed professionals able to drive change and improvement across public and private sector organizations through strategic planning and management best practices.
During the ceremony, Professor Paul Safo Mensah, Chairman of CIAMC’s Professional Education and Examinations Committee, commended the drive and commitment demonstrated by the inductees in completing the program. “It is heartwarming to know that the CIAMC-trained professionals are using their action research skills to bring about tremendous change in several offices at no charge,” he stated.
The CIAMC induction and licensing program consists of preparatory exams, followed by a pre-professional licensing phase. Successful candidates at this stage graduate to the full professional licensing phase made up of five parts across three modules covering the aforementioned topics. The institute has provided this program for over 20 years, cementing its position as a prime developer of administrative and consultancy talent in Ghana.
CIAMC Board Chairman Ehunabobrim Prah Agyensaim VI provided updates on the status of the organization’s application for an official Presidential Charter. He indicated that despite positive ongoing engagement with government leaders, the Institute continues to operate under the existing Professional Bodies Registration Act from 1973.
Alongside the induction ceremony, CIAMC held its 46th Mandatory Continuing Professional Education (MCPE) seminar, open to both members and the general public. This edition focused on aligning curriculum, instructional methods, and assessment techniques to improve equitable access to high-quality education. The Institute sees the consistent upskilling of professionals in administrative and consultancy fields as imperative.
With 450 skilled professionals added to its ranks, CIAMC looks well-poised to further its mission of developing administrative leaders and strategic change agents through gold-standard training and development. The Institute’s member base boasts professionals actively improving government, business, and civil society organizations across Ghana.
