Conference on Future of Work comes off this weekend

A conference on the Future of Work is set to come off this Saturday, November 4, 2023 weekend at the Cedi Conference Center, University of Ghana. Organised by BeTechConnected, the event seeks to build the capacities of young people to access global tech opportunities.

Under the theme, ‘Empowering the Youth for the Future of Work’, organisers believe the theme will resonate with students, young professionals and corporate entities. “Empowerment for the future of work goes beyond mere job training. It requires fostering a holistic set of skills and attributes that enable young people to adapt, innovate, and contribute to a rapidly changing society, and this is what this conference seeks to achieve,” a statement said.

The event, the organizer noted, will bring together renowned industry leaders who will share their expertise, failures, and success stories that will inspire and guide the youth toward their future endeavours.



Key activities include diverse workshops where young professionals will engage in hands-on activities on the demands of work of the future in various tech fields, micro future talks in which tech leaders will share insights on the Future of Work in their various industries.

There will also be an interactive panel discussion on the topic: ‘Building the Capacities of Young People to Access Global Tech Opportunities’ where participants will get the opportunity to engage panel members. To top it off, there will be a technology job fair where qualified applicants will be connected to appropriate industries without the hustle of going through any lengthy application processes.
