In a thrilling showcase of financial acumen and investment knowledge, Yaa Asantewaa Girls emerged victorious in the Capital Market Quiz Competition organised by the Young Investors Network (YIN) and Ghana Stock Exchange (GSE). The competition witnessed teams from prestigious schools, with Yaa Asantewaa Girls outshining their competitors which included Prempeh College, St. Louis High School, and Kumasi High School.

The Capital Market Quiz Competition, now in its fifth year, took place at Prempeh College – drawing the participation of over 700 students from 4 high schools. The event’s primary objective was to promote financial literacy and investment education among young students.

The competition was a high-stakes battle of wits, as the participating schools displayed their knowledge of capital markets, investment strategies and financial instruments. The questions ranged from understanding stock market operations to investment portfolio management.



After intense rounds of quizzing, Yaa Asantewaa Girls demonstrated their depth of knowledge and quick thinking. They secured top position by consistently providing accurate answers and making sound investment choices.

The Coach of Yaa Asantewaa Girls, Mr. Prince Manu, expressed his excitement and attributed their victory to months of preparation and dedication. He emphasised the importance of financial education and encouraged other students to explore the world of investment.
