…a platform for training African Talent in web3 product design, product management and smart contract engineering
Following the success of its pilot training programme – Aya Web3 Fellowship – in partnership with Coinbase, Aya has launched Ayaversity: its training platform aimed at training African talent in web3 product design, product management, and smart contract engineering. This is in line with Aya’s mission to train 10,000 African talents in Web3 in 10 years.
“We are excited to launch Ayaversity and take our mission of providing accessible and affordable Web3 education for African talent to the next level,” said Joel Azu, Programme Manager at Aya. “Our pilot training programme was a huge success, and we are thrilled to expand our reach to more aspiring web3 professionals.”
Ayaversity’s training programmes will last for three months, and talents canbe trained for as little as US$20. Aya is also encouraging founders and other brands to sponsor aspiring web3 talents in their networks to be trained at Ayaversity in order to advance Africa in the web3 space.
“Looking at the global data, with a 1.4 billion population and 70% under age 30, we cannot be proud to account for just 3% of the total web3 talent supply in the world. Our aim is to help create an ecosystem of web3 professionals in Africa, and we believe that everyone should have access to quality web3 education,” added Eric Annan, Founder and CEO of Aya. “We are sure that our platform will give African talent the training and skills they need to do well in the web3 space.
“We are excited about the potential of Ayaversity to empower African talent and unlock the continent’s full potential in the web3 space,” said Pishikeni Tukura, Co-founder and COO of Aya. “We look forward to partnering with individuals, brands and organisations that share our vision of creating a more inclusive and diverse web3 industry.”
Ayaversity is now open for enrolment, and interested applicants can visit ayaversity.com to apply.
