The Ghana Fintech Awards is an initiative of Arkel Limited – a Fintech research and management consulting firm – that is proudly supported by the Ghana Fintech and Payments Association.
The Ghana FinTech Awards was initiated to recognise and acknowledge the efforts and achievements of individuals and companies driving last mile solutions. These stalwarts have presently and over the years contributed immensely toward the promotion of Ghana’s FinTech competitive advantage, and the journey to building a resilient fintech space for economic growth and achieving financial inclusion.
This year’s awards ceremony seeks to be very competitive, and therefore organisers are really looking forward to seeing the best fintech companies and individuals emerge from public voting.
The theme is ‘Leveraging on fintechs: an opportunity to achieve economic empowerment and financial inclusion’, and encapsulates the end goal of Fintech companies building customer-centric solutions geared to economic development.
In an interview with project coordinator of the awards, Mr. Charles Anyiri, he stated: “We should expect fierce competition during the awards this year; because irrespective of the challenges being faced in the business and Fintech space, these companies have given it their all and left no stone unturned when it comes to the deployment of their Fintech solutions. And I for one, cannot wait to see who emerges as Fintech Company of the Year, which climaxes the awards”.
He further encouraged the public to ensure they vote for their preferred companies in the various categories, and mentioned that voting is totally free at no cost. “Therefore, an invitation is extended to the public as we solicit your support to select the most deserving candidates for over 23 categories.”
Voting started on November 24, 2022 and ends on December 4, 2022. During that period, the judges will research each nominee and provide feedback on their findings along with a score. At the voting period’s end, the scores will constitute 60 percent while the Judging Committee contributes 40 percent.
