3Media Networks redefines entertainment television as 3Music TV begins transmission

3Media Networks is set to redefine television viewing in Ghana with the launch of its latest free-to-air television station, 3Music TV Channel. The new and engaging music and lifestyle channel, with its tagline ‘This is the Culture’, will offer refreshing content to both young and old music lovers and entertainment enthusiasts.

Speaking at the launch of the TV channel, CEO of 3Media Networks, Baba Sadiq, said the introduction of 3Music TV is an out-turn of the company’s commitment to fill the gap in providing African youth with compelling television content. He said: “In 2017, we started the journey to creating an exciting lifestyle media brand to entertain young Africans across the continent and after five years with five successful editions of the 3Music Awards, we are very excited to enter the next phase with the launch of our TV channel”.



The Deputy Minister of Tourism, Culture and Creative Art, Mark Okraku Mantey, who represented the government at the launch, expressed excitement at the launch of the 3Music TV channel. “Once again, 3Media Networks has made us proud. They have shown and proven that with hard work everything and anything is possible, and we as a government are ready to support them in whatever way we can,” he said.

The deputy minister also urged bloggers and media persons present to promote the arts and talents in the country. He added that: “The enemy is not within, and the only way the entertainment industry can grow is when we work together and support one another”.

Programming on 3Music TV include a morning show, ‘Daily Culture’, which will be aired from Monday through to Friday between 6:30am and 10:00 am and be hosted by Jay Foley, Mz Gee and C-Real; ‘The Trend’ – a daily entertainment news show, ‘Chef it Up’ – a music and food show, and ‘We Outside’ – a travel and lifestyle show, will all air on Music TV, Pluzz FM and on Facebook and YouTube. Others include ‘This is the Culture Festival’, which will debut by the end of the year.

Attending the star-studded event were notable persons like Board Chairman of GHAMRO, Rex Omar; musicians like Adina, Keche, Black Sherif, Efya, Dope Nation, D-Black; and entertainment pundits like Arnold Asamoah Baidoo, bloggers, influencers, media personnel, among others.
