ASA Savings and Loans Limited, Kpone Business Centre, in collaboration with Firdalh Diagnostic Centre, has organised a free health screening.
The beneficiaries are the client and communities in which the company operates. 162 people -‘men, women and children’ – were screened and tested in Hepatitis B, malaria, blood pressure, as well as general diseases.
Some were given medication based on the disease, while others were referred to the hospital for further treatment.
Richmond Afari Hayford, Area Manager of Kpone Business Centre of ASA Savings and Loans Limited, explained that: “We are given back to the society as part of our corporate social responsibility”.
“As an institution, we always want to ensure that our clients and the people in our operational area are always healthy,” he said.
He mentioned that: “This gesture is done annually to ensure that the people are living a good and healthy lifestyle”.
He praised the clients and members of the community for participating in the health screening programme and ensuring a cordial relationship with the company.
Dr. Alhassan Haruna, Biomedical Scientist – Firdalh Diagnostic Centre, mentioned that the most occurring disease was hypertension, and advised them to exercise regularly.
“Report to any health facility when you are not well and then, check your diet; what you eat also contributes to your growth,” he said.
