Bethniel Finance, offered by Ghanaian fintech company, Bethniel Financial Technology, has emerged as a winner to participate in the Innovation Challenge programme.
The Innovation Challenge is an opportunity for early-stage innovators who have digital innovations that address social and environmental challenges and are keen to develop a sustainable business model around their digital solutions.
Launched in 2021 and founded by Edward Akani, Bethniel Finance offers a seamless way of improving financial literacy, managing personal finance and accessing financial services. Users have access to insightful articles, podcasts and financial markets data. Additionally, users can invest, make payments, transfers, loans and insurance.
Given this, team members of Bethniel Finance will receive access to Innovation Factory’s digital innovation launcher program to refine their ideas and prototypes to generate a viable business plan and launch their digital innovation for sustainability.
A representative of Bethniel Fintech said: “at the end of this phase, we hope to have a sustainable business model that will speed our expansion into other African countries while meeting our short-term goals of building apps that allow people to learn how to make better personal financial decisions.”
