GPHA warns public against recruitment scam

The Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority (GPHA) has cautioned the general public to be mindful of unscrupulous people who have announced on various social media platforms, that the Authority has begun recruitment for 2022/2023.

They further gave a vodaphone number  (0200934970) as a whatsapp contact via which interested members of the public can chat with Mr. Michael Achagwe Luguje, Director General of GPHA.

General Manager, Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Mrs. Esther Gyebi-Donkor said in an interview , “the attention of GPHA has been drawn to the activities of some criminals who have engaged in a recruitment scam using the name of the Authority.



The Authority has not caused any announcement via any medium to be made, concerning any recruitment for 2022/2023″.

It further said the Director General, Michael Achagwe Luguje does not own the contact number provided by this criminals.

The Authority described the announcement as fake, a scam, and that anyone who indulged or patronize them does that at his or her own risk.

“GPHA has laid down procedures for announcing recruitment opportunities and will do so via the approved channels when such opportunities come up”.

The general public is therefore advised to be cautious about these criminal elements who are out there to dupe them. All such individuals and group are also warned forthwith, from engaging in such illegal and criminal acts, failure of which the Authority may elect to take legal action.
