Five influential women set to speak at maiden event
About 500 women from various professional backgrounds are expected to converge at the Christ Square of the Pleasant Place Church in Accra on Saturday, November 27, 2021, to participate in the maiden edition of The Woman in Charge Conference (TWIC), an event designed to empower women not only to take charge in their professional lives but also their homes.
The conference, on the theme ‘God, Careers and Family’, will convene career women, professionals and experts to engage in discussions that seek to equip women who have the desire to succeed in their career path.
“There have been several calls and actions geared towards increasing women participation in every facet of life in our society. Governments both past and present have development polices to ensure that the country achieve gender parity, and we believe that platforms such as this –Woman in Charge Conference—will go a long way to ensure our women are empowered to contribute their quota to the development of the country,” organizers of the conference said.
According to the organizers, TWIC, which seeks to equip women to build successful careers and raise godly families, will have five influential women speakers to share their lifetime experience over the years.
Women from all walks of life will come together to seek the face of God, share experiences and ideas that will educate, empower and equip them to serve God wholeheartedly. Attendance is free and all participants are to register via www.mypleasantplace.org/twic.
