A world-class forest amusement park, We-Ape Mega Zipline and Adventure Park, has officially opened in Aburi, offering thrilling outdoor experiences for adventure seekers, families, and organisations on a 3.5-acre rainforest site.

As the newest addition to Ghana’s outdoor recreation scene, We-Ape provides a unique setting for nature lovers and adventure seekers of all ages to enjoy fun and memorable activities.

The park features two exciting obstacle courses- a Family Course suitable for both kids and adults, and a Fitness Course designed as a fun aerial workout for those looking for a physical challenge.

Each course includes a variety of engaging activities such as canopy walks, cable bikes, different net obstacles, and exciting ziplines, all set against the beautiful natural backdrop of the rainforest.

We-Ape also includes modern conference rooms, a café for food and drinks, and an open field for team games and group activities. The park is ideal for corporate team-building events, offsite meetings, inductions, training workshops, and more.

In addition, it has introduced an environmental learning program designed for schools. Using the natural rainforest setting, the program aims to help students develop a stronger connection with and respect for the environment.

To mark its official opening, the park hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 6th, attended by local officials and tourism stakeholders in Aburi.

“We-Ape has been a passion project years in the making. We are thrilled to introduce something new, something truly world-class, and something very different from anything else available in Ghana,” William Adzraku, Executive Director of the park said.

Guest of Honour Emma Wenani, Managing Director of Global Media Alliance Ghana, added: “In a world that is rapidly urbanising and going digital, spaces like We-Ape are becoming more important. They remind us of the beauty of nature, give us a break from our busy lives, and offer chances for learning, fun, and caring for the environment. I am honored to be here for the launch and excited to see more of what We-Ape has to offer. This isn’t just an experience- it’s a movement.”

Dr. Jones Quartey, a lecturer at the University of Ghana, whose alumni helped create the environmental education program, also shared his thoughts:

“The rich natural setting of We-Ape and the effort put into education facilities mean the learning program will have a strong impact on students who take part.”

Whether you’re looking for a fun and nature-filled activity as an individual or group, or a unique venue for your organisation’s event, We-Ape has something for everyone.
