ASA Savings and Loans Limited, a leading financial institution in Ghana has presented a cheque amount for GHS 25,000 to support the educational needs of 25 needy but brilliant students from the Tamale metropolis.
Presenting the cheques to the beneficiaries, the Deputy CEO of ASA, Md Shah Abdul Wahab reiterated the company’s commitment towards the promotion of quality and sound education. “Aside this educational support we are witnessing today, we also as part of our CSR donate vital medical equipment to public health facilities, free medical screening to the public, donation to public schools among others ” he added.
Each beneficiary received a cheque amount of GHS 1,000. The amount is to cushion the financial efforts of parents and guardians towards their wards’ education.
The Area Manager of Tamale, Martin Yenuman-Weingam indicated that it is the company’s hope that the beneficiaries would grow to be assets not only to their families but to society as a whole.
A parent, Abu Adusa said the package has been a big relief to her and her ward.
Osman Falila, a beneficiary student promised management of ASA that they will put the support to good use and graduate successfully to help with productivity and growth of the country.
The regional Human Resource Manager of the Ghana Education Service (GES) urged the beneficiary students to work hard towards achieving academic excellence.
