Bills Micro-Credit Limited, a leading microfinance firm, has signed on actress Gloria Osei Sarfo as its brand ambassador.
Ms. Sarfo began her acting career in the mid-2000s, starring in Revele Films’ Hotel Saint James.
She gained popularity after playing the role of Nana Ama in Efiewura. Over the years, she has featured in numerous films and earned several accolades, including Best Supporting Actress at the 2020 Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards and Actress of the Year at the 2021 Women’s Choice Awards, among others.
As brand ambassador, Ms Sarfo is expected to serve as the face of Bills Micro-Credit, particularly in relation to its financial solutions focused on youth empowerment and other socially driven initiatives.
“Today, we are here not just to announce a partnership, but to celebrate a shared vision — a vision rooted in empowerment, progress and connection. It is with immense pride and joy that I officially unveil and welcome Miss Gloria Osei Sarfo as the brand ambassador for Bills Micro-Credit Limited,” said Romeo-Richlove Kweku Seshie, Chief Executive Officer of Bills Micro-Credit.
Speaking at an event in Accra to formally announce the partnership, Mr. Seshie noted that the company has, over the years, become synonymous with innovation, reliability and transformation within the domestic financial landscape.
He added that, as a leading microcredit institution with the largest market share in the microcredit segment, Bills Micro-Credit’s vision aligns with that of Ms. Sarfo.
“To connect more deeply with the communities we serve, we recognised the need for a voice — a voice with the power to inspire, influence and connect; a face that resonates with authenticity, relatability and trust. That is why we are honoured to welcome Gloria Osei Sarfo as the official face and voice of our brand,” he said.
Explaining the rationale behind the selection, Mr. Seshie noted: “We looked beyond popularity. We searched for someone whose values align with ours — someone who embodies resilience, integrity, compassion and a commitment to social impact. Gloria Sarfo is that person”.
He described Ms. Sarfo as not only a celebrated actress and household name, but also a symbol of determination, humility and growth — values that reflect the very spirit of Bills Micro-Credit’s clientele.
“Behind her public success is a story of persistence and purpose — one that mirrors the journeys of the many individuals and businesses we proudly support: people who start small but dare to dream big,” he stated.
For her part, the celebrated actress expressed her excitement about the partnership: “I’m happy to be joining the Bills Micro-Credit family. I’m grateful to be part of this brand, which has been there for more than 15 years. Together, I’m confident we can look forward to a brighter future”.
An elated Ms Sarfo added: “The mandate of Bills aligns with my personal goal of making social impact, especially empowering young people economically. We are going to change the narrative of Ghanaian youth together”.
