- Inducts Northern Accra Diocese Men’s Fellowship executive into office
- Launches Mission Development Fund
The bishop of the Northern Accra Diocese of the Methodist Church Ghana, Rt. Rev. Andrew Mbeah-Baiden, has called on the people of God – especially men – to give freely toward the furtherance of the work of God at all times and that the reward for such kind gestures are multiple blessings of God and life fulfilments experienced only by those engaged in such religious philanthropy.
Rt. Rev. Mneah-Baiden made the appeal at a Thanksgiving Service held at the Most Rev. Prof. K. A. Dickson Memorial Methodist Church at Ashongman to induct newly elected executives of the Northern Accra Diocesan Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowships into office over the weekend.
The service was also used to formally launch the Northern Accra Diocesan Mission Development Fund (DMDF) in the Ashongman Circuit of the Methodist Church Ghana.
According to the bishop, the fund has been set up to mobilise resources from various circuits and societies for evangelism, discipleship and infrastructural development within the diocese as well as Church planting, acquisition of land etc.; and was expected to be launched in all 20 circuits of the Northern Accra Diocese on the day (Sunday March 9, 2025).
The Superintendent Minister of the Ashongman Circuit of the Methodist Church Ghana, Very Rev. Benjamin Gorman, congratulated the newly elected executives and urged them to continue with the outstanding works of the Men Fellowship in the diocese and the Connexion.
He said as leaders, the executives needed vision, voice and value to be able to steer the affairs of the fellowship to attain its laudable aim of living for Christ and winning souls for the Kingdom of God.
The Connexional Chairman of the Association of Methodist Men’s Fellowship, Mr. Ebenezer Kobina Anowih, commended the 6-year old Northern Accra Diocese Men’s Fellowship as having established itself as a model and a force to reckon with in the affairs of the felllowships throughout the nation.
The immediate past Chairman of the Diocesan Fellowship, Mr. Kwamina Amoasi-Andoh, expressed his gratitude to his executve members, most of whom have been retained to hold positions, and the entire members for their support and cooperation during his 3-year tenure.
The new executives inducted into office include Nana Ato Hope as Chairman; Isaac Kojo Achiampong as Vice Chairman; Joseph Nii Atram Secretary; and M. George Anum Quaye as Assistant Secretary.
Other members already at post are Frank Samuel Acquah, Treasurer; Frank Ansah Addo, Organiser; Henry Brown, Co-opted Executive; Eric Bonney, Evangelism Coordinator; and Very Rev. Ebenezer Grantson as Chaplain/Ex Officio member.
The NAD Bishop was accompanied to the induction service by Dr. Senyo Adzei, the NAD Lay Chairman and Very Rev. John Kweku Ackom, the NAD Synod Secretary.
