…A message from Rev. Johnny (John Kofi) Apeakorang to Apostle General Rev. Samuel Korankye Ankrah on his 65th birthday

My Dear Apostle General,

As you celebrate your 65th birthday, I find myself reflecting on our incredible journey together—a journey that spans over four decades of friendship, ministry, and divine purpose.

From those early days at Accra Polytechnic when I first encountered you as Brother Ankrah, to witnessing your transformation into the distinguished Apostle General who leads thousands today, every step has been a testament to God’s faithfulness and your unwavering commitment to His calling.

I remember vividly when we first met during those vibrant Christian Fellowship meetings. Your passion for God was infectious, your zeal unmatched, and your leadership style, even then, was distinctively powerful.

Before moving to Accra, I had prayed for God to guide me to someone who could mentor me spiritually. See how the Lord not only answered that prayer, He  would connect me with someone who would not only be a mentor but a spiritual father and lifelong friend.

Those early days of Showers of Blessing remain etched in my memory—12 of us, six men and six women, united by a shared vision of bringing glory to God through your dynamic leadership. We would spend nights in prayer at the Legon Botanical Gardens, travel across the country ministering through music and the Word, and brave the challenges of the period to spread the gospel. Even in the days when there were curfews and strict regulations, your courage never wavered, and your vision never dimmed.

Your time away marked a pivotal moment in our journey. Though communication was limited in those days before advanced technology, your return brought a renewed vision that would transform our fellowship into what we now know as Royalhouse Chapel International. The transition was the manifestation of the greater purpose God had placed in your heart—to raise royals for His kingdom.

Your leadership style, AG, has always been distinctive. Some found it demanding, others challenging, but those of us who have worked closely with you understand that your strict adherence to excellence stems from a deep commitment to God’s work. You taught me that ministry requires both spiritual dedication and strategic thinking. Your business-minded approach to church administration, coupled with your unrelenting spiritual focus, has created a model of ministry that continues to influence thousands.

I have watched you maintain the same fervor whether preaching to thousands or to an empty room during the COVID-19 pandemic. Your dedication to preparation, spending Saturday nights alone in prayer before Sunday services, has taught us all the importance of honoring God with our best. Your leadership during the pandemic proved that neither age nor circumstances can quench the fire God has placed in you. Your ability to balance family life with ministry responsibilities has set an example for many of us to follow.

Under your leadership, I have grown from a reserved engineer into a confident minister of the gospel. You saw potential in me that I did not see in myself, just as you have done for countless others. Your gift for identifying and nurturing talent has built a ministry where diverse gifts flourish within a unified vision.

The growth of Royalhouse Chapel from classroom gatherings to the magnificent Oil Dome reflects and goes beyond what we could have imagined. The multiplication of lives transformed through your ministry continues to increase. Yet, what impresses me most is not the size of our congregation or the beauty of our buildings, but your consistent character through every phase of growth.

As you mark this milestone birthday, I want you to know that your impact extends far beyond what you might see. The principles you have taught us—discipline, excellence, prayer, and unshaking faith—continue to shape not only our ministry but the broader Christian community in Ghana and beyond.

Your life exemplifies what it means to serve God with excellence and integrity. You have maintained the same dedication to God’s calling. Your journey in times of little and in times of plenty has inspired many, but for some of us who have walked this path with you from the beginning, it has been a we have had a front row seat in divine purpose and faithful service.

At 65, you stand as a testimony to God’s faithfulness and the power of dedicated leadership. How I have often said that the Oil Dome may be becoming too small for our growing congregation, but your vision continues to expand, and your passion remains undiminished.

As you enter this new season of your life, my prayer is that God continues to strengthen and inspire you. May He grant you many more years of impactful ministry, and may your vision for raising royals for His kingdom continue to transform lives across the globe.

Thank you for being not just a big brother, friend, leader but a father figure to many of us. Thank you for your patience in grooming us, your wisdom in guiding us, and your example in leading us. Your legacy lives on in the thousands of lives touched through your ministry, and in leaders like myself who have had the privilege of serving alongside you. Indeed, like King David, you have “served God’s purpose in your generation.”

Happy 65th Birthday, Apostle General. May your days be long, your impact ever-increasing, and your joy complete in the Lord.

With deep respect and gratitude,

Rev. Johnny (John Kofi) Apeakorang
