College Park City to host the Black History Festival 2025

The City of College Park, Georgia, USA, has officially accepted the honor to serve as the host city and partner for the highly anticipated Black History Festival 2025 with BIDEC INC a US and Africa based organization.

Scheduled to take place from Thursday 27 to Saturday 29 March, 2025, the festival will be held in the Global City of Georgia, United States.

Some of the high level personalities invited and are expected to attend include the President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. John Dramini Mahama, the Prime Minister of Grenada, Hon. Don Mitchel, the African Union Permanent Representative to the USA and Americas, H.E. Hilda Suka Mafudze, the Director General of the Organisation of eastern Caribbean States, Dr. Jules Dadicus, the Chairman of the Africa Global Chamber of Commerce, Dr. Olivier Kamanzi, the President of the South Africa Chamber of Commerce, USA, Neil Diamond, Executive Chairman of the KGL Group, Alex Apau Dadey, CEO of Acreaty, Elsie Apau Esq., CEO of VMV Industries, Emmanuel Caulley, Managing Partner of the TransAtlantic Global Limited USA, Eric Williams, US Paralympic Champion, Sydney Satchel, Global Marketing Guru, Bozoma Saint John, CEO and Chief Editor of the Caribbean in Transit, Dr. Mariel Barrow, City Mayors and Councilmembers from across the State of Georgia, USA some other season entrepreneurs from Africa, the Caribbean and America.



Strengthening Global Partnerships
This decision follows a series of visits and fact-finding missions conducted by community representatives between December 2024 and early 2025.

The City of College Park has demonstrated its readiness to host the Black History Festival for both 2025 and 2026, aiming to leverage the event as an economic engagement tool as the host city of the busiest airport in the USA, Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport.

The festival will play a pivotal role in strengthening US-Africa relations, fostering cooperative partnerships, and creating opportunities for shared prosperity and sustainable development among Global Africans as we celebrate the Black History and African Heritage.

There will be signing of strategic partnerships in the area of agribusiness, technology, customs management services, sports, cultural diplomacy, real estate, construction, tourism, trade and more.

Key Festival Highlights:

  • Advance Engagement: The College Park City Council seeks to engage with the Government of Ghana, other African countries, Caribbean states, international corporations, and chambers of commerce through BIDEC INC to discuss strategic opportunities and engagement perspectives on the festival platform.
  • Key Activities: The Festival will feature the Welcoming Network Cocktail session, Black History Summit, Black History Expo, Investment Dialogue and the highly anticipated Black History Makers Gala Awards Night.
  • Investment Dialogue: College Park City Council will initiate a Presidential Investment Dialogue, inviting other Georgia cities to explore investment opportunities in sectors such as agriculture, tourism, automotive, technology, innovation, construction, energy, and real estate.

Expanding the Impact Beyond 2025
In collaboration with BIDEC INC, College Park City will explore strategic opportunities related to the 2026 FIFA World Cup, to be hosted across the USA, Mexico, and Canada. The city plans to introduce initiatives focusing on entertainment, housing, and transportation, capitalizing on its proximity to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and to the Stadium hosting the Semi Finals of the FIFA World Cup next year.
