The Hill City Church of the Worldwide Word Ministries has launched its 9th anniversary celebrations, unveiling a week-long programme of spiritual activities and community outreach initiatives.

At a press conference in Accra, the church’s leader, Prophet John Anokye, reaffirmed its commitment to global evangelism and social impact.

He said this year’s celebration is themed ‘Greater mandate’, explaining that it reflects the church’s mission to impact lives and spread the gospel.

“We are committed to transforming lives and fulfilling our divine mandate. This anniversary is a time to reflect on how far God has brought us and to plan for the future. We are not just a church but a solution-oriented global ministry driven by the Holy Spirit,” he elaborated.

Church growth and expansion

Also, he said that the Church has grown over the years and now has branches in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and the United Arab Emirates, noting that it is working on expanding to more countries in Europe and Africa.

“Apart from church services, the ministry has different groups, including ICARE Missions, which helps the less privileged; and Field of Souls Outreach Ministries, which focuses on evangelism,” he added.

Activities for the anniversary

The celebration, which runs from Monday, February 10 to Sunday, February 16, includes different activities.

“On Tuesday, there will be a crusade at American House, aimed at winning souls for Christ. On Wednesday, members will gather for a worship night with the Word Choir while earlier in the day, we will embark on a clean-up exercise at Ogbojo Polyclinic as part of our community service efforts.

“On Thursday, there will be a prophetic service led by my good self and the clergy team. Friday, 14th February’s activities will include a special anniversary service at this auditorium, where members will reflect on the journey so far.

“On Saturday, there will be a fitness event with members of Maker’s House Chapel International, an initiative to promote physical well-being alongside spiritual growth. The celebrations will climax on Sunday with a final thanksgiving and communion service at this same auditorium,” he elaborated.

Future plans

Furthermore, the prophet said the church plans to reach more people globally through its online platforms, including YouTube, Amazon, among other. He added that it will continue to organise events such as the Prophetic Arena and Healing and Health Conferences to help people grow spiritually.

“As we celebrate this milestone, we trust God for more growth and greater impact. The Hill City Church invites everyone to join in the celebrations and be part of its mission to spread the Gospel,” Prophet Anokye said.
