Achimota Retail Centre (ARC) has kicked off the new year with a bang, offering customers an unforgettable experience with a grand sidewalk sale and boosting shopping options and variety with the entry of Melcom as an anchor tenant.
According to ARC management, shoppers at ARC have been treated to unbeatable deals and discounts since January 23 and will continue to enjoy special deals from the various stores until the end of January.
Starlite, the popular electronics and accessories outlet has announced a 5% discount on Samsung TVs, tablets and home appliances, while Telefonika has slashed prices on iPhone cases, car chargers and other phone accessories by between 5% and 10%.
The health and wellness store, Life Healthcare is offering a 60% discount on all lab consultations and goes on to offer free BP and weight checks to boot. MV Accessories has slapped an unspecified range of price cuts on bags and slippers while, ARA, the Centre’s play hub for children, is offering a 10% discount on all toys, schoolbags and books.
Divine Organic Hub has cut prices on teas, seeds, nuts and protein powders by 50%.
To crown the excitement at Achimota Mall this past week is the entry of Ghana’s retail giant, Melcom, as an anchor tenant following a soft opening last Wednesday (January 22), ending widespread expectation and anxiety among shoppers over when the superstore would open for business.
At ARC, Melcom is located on the east wing, near the food Pavilion and operates from approximately 3,199 square metres of trading space, displaying around 27,000 consumer merchandise in the well-known Melcom style set-up.
Indeed, shopping options, opportunities and choices at Achimota Mall have now assumed a new dimension as Melcom brings to customers a huge and varied collection of consumer items in different product categories, including groceries, home décor, small furniture, kitchen cookware, Multimedia, dairy, liquor, electrical and lighting products, stationery, exercise equipment, toys, and many more.
To celebrate its momentous arrival at the Centre, Melcom offered a 20% discount on all purchases from January 24 to 26, 2025, and customers as well as management, are upbeat about the prospects of a richer shopping experience in the coming days.
