He lusted after her

She resisted many times over

He insisted

She resisted

He persisted

She resisted

He pestered

She resisted many times after

When his pestering became too persistent

She told him her piece of mind

To place him among his kind

To remind him to find his kind

“Your kind sows and grows and mows the grass

…in my father’s lawns

Your kind prunes the flora and trims the branches

…in my father’s compound

Your kind tends to the dirty basket of linen

…from my father’s wardrobe

Your kind wipes clean the fleet of limousines

…in my father’s garage

Your kind feed on the crumbs

…from our table of plenty

Your kind gets paid with peanuts

…from our surplus of plenty

So mind to find your kind

But he would not take no for an answer

For he too knew her kind

Her kind would say no to mean yes

Her kind would dole out a no

Just to protect an ego

So he took her no to mean yes

As he bided his time

He knew it was only a matter of time

When he would kiss that young miss

Some friends learned of his amorous adventure

Good friends warned him against his lustful desire

And for his persistence to woo an obstinate lass

They said it could bring him woes to last

Foul friends pushed him to go on to conquer

To conquer to silence those insulting lips

And damn the consequences

He garnered support from friends of vicious rapport

He proceeded to invade a damsel’s guarded parts

By sedating a drink for a damsel to drink

For a damsel to sleep beyond just a wink

His conquest was complete

Complete success in his quest to implant a virus

A human Immunodeficiency Virus

A virus bequeathed by a vindictive ex-lover

A virus he has also viciously bequeathed

To let her know when to zip up a lip

As she licked her wounds

He laughed with much glee at his conquest

II

It took a long period of mourning

To dull her battered emotions

To nurse her bruised ego

But the next moment she was on the go

She was determined to stage a payback

“Vengeance is mine”

It must be payback time

A time to transfer what has been transmitted

A time to share what has been shared

A time to act with intention to infect

A time to spread without thinking guilty

It was a spreading spree

It was a spread spiraling with speed

To a husband for his wife

To an ex lover for his  new found

To a playboy for all playmates

To a boss for his innocent wife

She was everybody’s good time girl

She was theirs for the asking

III

Soon she knew it

She knew the spread had been complete

She knew she had dug up a pit

A pit to swallow up one of her own

Soon she knew the damage she set out to inflict

She knew the virus had gone full circle

Soon she learned her vengeance had paid her back

She found how the infection had gone round

Then she knew it

…the day her younger sister came home to introduce her new found

That day she knew it

…that she got her share of what she doled out
