B&FT, Absa cultivate stronger business relationship

Business and Financial Times (B&FT) has paid a courtesy visit to Absa Bank Ghana to express appreciation for the long-standing partnership between the two institutions.

During the visit, a delegation led by Dr. Godwin Acquaye, Chief Executive Officer of B&FT, expressed gratitude to management of Absa Bank for their unwavering support throughout the year despite economic challenges facing the country.



“Thank you for your support throughout the year. The year has had its own challenges, and we do appreciate you for the faith you continue to show in our business.  We deem Absa Bank to be a strong partner and we do not take this relationship for granted at all,” Dr. Acquaye said.

He also discussed the expectation to deepen the relationship and business partnerships between to two entities in the coming year.  Dr Acquaye, used the occasion to highlight  some flagship B&FT events which he believed would be of immense benefit to the bank in the delivery of its strategic objectives. . Examples of these are, The Youth Economic Forum and Women in Business amongst others.

Managing Director-Absa Bank Ghana, Edward Nartey Botchway who received the delegation, expressed optimism about deepening the partnership between the bank and B&FT

Recognising B&FT as a key partner to the bank, the Managing Director noted the importance of leveraging  the various B&FT platforms to engage and impact the banks numerous stakeholders

“For us, it is about the impact we want to make in our communities – being able to work with partners such as B&FT  to achieve some of these goals is imperative.

“We remain committed to finding more collaborative ways to achieve our collective,” Mr Botchway indicated

Nana Essilfuah Tamakloe, Director-Marketing and Corporate Affairs, Absa Bank Ghana, emphasised during the meeting that the SME sector and youth initiatives are key focus areas for the bank. She highlighted Absa’s commitment to collaborating on projects that support growth in these sectors.

She expressed the banks satisfaction with the current relationship and support being enjoyed by the bank and was optimistic about future prospects
