Bright W. Ladzekpo has been recognised for his outstanding leadership, corporate management performance and resilience at the 7th Ghana Industry CEO Awards at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra.
The annual event identifies and publicly recognizes the most outstanding Chief Executives in corporate Ghana across a wide range of categories in both private and public sector corporations and institutions.
The citation by Business Executive Magazine, said: “Your exceptional leadership has successfully leveraged industries and good corporate management as dual engines for economic recalibration, yielding remarkable results.” It was presented to the experienced marketing communications professional by the former CEO of Metro TV, Mr. Fadi Fattal, on behalf of the organisers.
As an industry leader, professional training facilitator and mentor, Bright Ladzekpo has consistently championed a data-driven approach, the application of Marketing Science principles and the adoption of international best practice for marketing communications activities by MSMEs, Start-ups, Non-profits and Governments in Africa.
He is an industry thought leader who is passionate about tracking technological trends and finding futures through capability building for people, digital transformation of operational processes to enhance productivity and profitability by using the platform business model.
He has spoken extensively on artificial intelligence and led the Africa launch of the thought leadership publication “Sentience – the coming AI Revolution and its implications for Marketing” in Accra, in 2015. He was a TEDxAccra speaker on “The future of Artificial Intelligence” in 2016. He was unequivocal about the dynamic of the disruption of traditional industries by AI fueled by data and digital devices at the launch of “Merge – the closing gap between technology and us” in 2018.
His latest thought leadership and advocacy focus is on closing the diversity gaps in Space Technology and Exploration through investment in STEM and international education through his family’s soon to be launched Africa Aerospace Initiative. He is currently serving his third consecutive term as a member of the Executive Council of the Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG).
He has also served on the Advertisement Regulation Committee of Ghana’s Food and Drug Authority (FDA) and the Africa Rising committee of the International Advertising Association (IAA).
