The Rotary Club of Accra-Airport Enclave has announced its 1st anniversary celebration, marked by the launch of a vital fundraising campaign and a sponsored walk dedicated to providing safe drinking water for the communities of Yaw Gyan and ‘Agyemanti’ townships (WASH Project), all in the Eastern Region.

This significant event will take place on November 16, 2024 at Kitase near Aburi. beginning at 7am. The walk aims to raise awareness and funds for the pressing need for clean water in these communities, where access to safe drinking water remains a challenge.

As part of our commitment to service above self, the Rotary Club of Accra-Airport Enclave has been actively involved in various community projects since its inception. Our anniversary not only marks a year of impactful service but also an opportunity to mobilize resources and community support for those in need.

“The need for clean and safe drinking water is a fundamental human right,” said Rotarian President Sophia Haikins-Adarkwah, President of the Rotary Club of Accra-Airport Enclave. “Through this fundraising campaign and sponsored walk, we aim to bring together members of the community, local businesses, and stakeholders to join hands in making a difference in the lives of residents in Yaw Gyan and Agyemanti.”

Participants in the sponsored walk are encouraged to register in advance and can do so via our website www.accra-airportenclaverotary.org. Donations can also be made directly to the Rotary Club, with all funds raised going directly towards the implementation of water purification systems and infrastructure improvements in the targeted townships.

The Rotary Club of Accra-Airport Enclave invites everyone to join us in this noble cause. Together, we can help ensure that every individual has access to safe drinking water, promoting health, dignity, and a better quality of life.
