YomYom Services Limited, licensed courier services, and a logistics marketplace, has been adjudged the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Marketing-Oriented Postal and Courier Services Company (Domestic) of The Year, 2023, at the 35th edition of the Awards.
The prestigious award is in recognition of the brand’s commitment to connecting small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs) to accessible, sustainable, and affordable logistics.
YomYom’s technology platform provides reliable, secure, and efficient motorcycle and eBike delivery services tailored to the specific needs of clients with the flexibility to select from a range of services.
The CIMG, in a citation presented to the company, highlighted how the start-up company which entered the market in 2017, charted a course to provide affordable, efficient and reliable logistics services that empower informal businesses and consumers globally.
The CIMG also recognised the significant contribution that an innovative product of the brand, such as the Yomtrace -Platform, which establishes mini-warehouses that showcase products on a commodity trading and traceability platform, has made in the agriculture sector.
Also, YomYom’s ‘Delivery Queens Programme’ which trains women to become delivery personnel, thereby creating financial independence, was highly commended for its transformative impact.
The brand achieved a 95 percent on-time delivery rate, with its innovative services, while achieving a 90 percent satisfaction rate among customers, all of which made it the facility of choice as it remains a solution that bridges the gap between rural producers and global buyers.
With a market share of 15 percent, culminating in a total income of GH₵2.2 million, YomYom remains a facility of choice.
“You came into existence in 2017, after which you charted a course to provide affordable, efficient, and reliable logistics services that empower informal businesses and consumers globally. Thus far, you have not relented as you continue to leverage logistics and technology to enhance the welfare of underserved communities.
“Accordingly, YomYom Services Limited has duly been conferred with the CIMG Marketing-Oriented Postal and Courier Services Company (Domestic) of The Year, 2023,” the citation stated.
Speaking to the media on the sideline of the awards, Co-Founder, YomYom Services, Bernard, expressed his sincere gratitude to CIMG for recognizing and awarding hard work. He also appreciated clients and partners of the brand for believing in the dream and vision.
Touching on factors contributing to this success, he said: “We prioritised the safety and timely delivery of packages using motorcycles and eco-friendly bikes, ensuring customer satisfaction throughout the delivery process.
