FWF Microfinance inducted into the CIMG Hall Of Fame

FWF Microfinance Limited, an indigenous Bank of Ghana (BoG) licensed Tier-two financial institution, has been inducted into the Chartered Institute of Marketing Ghana (CIMG) Hall of Fame, at the 35th edition of the Awards.

This remarkable achievement was adorned on the brand after it was adjudged the ‘Marketing-Oriented Micro Finance Company of The Year, 2023.’ A feat it has accomplished for the fourth consecutive year.

This prestigious honour distinguishes the 13-year-old company as the fastest-growing microfinance firm in the country with steady progress over the past four years.



In a citation presented to the company, the CIMG acknowledged the FWF’s application of seamless knowledge and good marketing practices into its operations to develop tailored products that meet the dynamic needs of the different geographic areas it serves.

“You have consciously identified, anticipated and produced custom-made financial solutions to clients which have been noticed and approved of. Your corporate social responsibility projects in the health sector have been touching lives and changing the fortunes of communities.

“You were established 13 years ago with a vision to be the preferred institution of choice in the financial sector, and per the estimation of our evaluators, you are on course, as you have resolved to empower households and entities by the provision of cost-effective microfinancing services in a sustainable manner,” CIMG stated.

FWF with regular product innovations, a committed workforce and quality customer relationship management has used these marketing schemes to achieve operational efficiency and returns on shareholder value.

“Your regimented efforts at being the nation’s indigenous microfinance company are noted by our team of assessors who confers on FWF Microfinance Ltd, the CIMG Marketing-Oriented Micro Finance Company, 2023 for the fourth consecutive year. By this feat, you have been inducted into the CIMG Hall of Fame (New Entrant)-Microfinance Category,” the citation highlighted.

Touching on the incredible feat, the Chief Executive Officer, of the company, Robert Mensah Aheto, expressed his appreciation to the FWF team, partners, and clients for their contributions to the company’s remarkable journey over the past 13 years.

He indicated that induction into the CIMG Hall of Fame is an extraordinary recognition that places high value on inductees. However, it also demands extra work, nonetheless, the management of the company is determined to continue making an impact and expanding into new markets with innovative products that meet the needs of clients.

“We are humbled and appreciative to our hardworking staff, partners, and cherished clients who have enabled us to achieve this remarkable milestone. We are delighted that our contribution to Ghana’s growing microfinance sector and financial inclusion agenda of the government has been recognised yet again,” he added.

FWF operates within the Greater Accra and Eastern Regions, specifically around the vicinities of Ashaiman, Tema, Kpone Katamanso, Dawhenya, Sege, Afianya, Dodowa, and Somanya areas. It has seen tremendous growth in customer base through its innovative products that have received national recognition for the fourth year running.

Products such as Susu Loan, Adwumapa Loan, Rural Group Loans, and savings accounts, have helped the brand develop strong trustworthiness which has aided in retaining clients and enhancing referrals, enabling the company to grow and expand to other enclaves.

In the year under review, FWF was recognised by other credible award schemes for its tremendous contribution to the Tier-two financial sector. These honours include, Microfinance Brand of The Year 2023, at the fifth Chartered Institutions of Credit Management (CICM) Awards; and Promotion of Financial Inclusion Company of The Year, by the Ghana Microfinance Institutions Network (GHAMFIN) at the third Non-Bank Financial Institutions Awards.
