Ghana’s Kekeli Dorkenoo named top 5 finalist towards 2024 Africa Startup Ecosystem Builders Awards

Ghanaian Young entrepreneur, Kekeli Yaw Dorkenoo emerges as a top 5 finalist for Africa in the Youth Ecosystem Champion Builder of the Year Category at the Africa Startup Ecosystem Builders Awards (ASEB) 2024.

This came after competing against nominees from 44 countries, with over 2,000 nominations across 30 categories.

Mr. Dorkenoo, founder of Keldork Global Innovations will represent Ghana at the final stage of the Youth Startup Ecosystem Champion Builder of the Year 2024 category at the ASEB Awards.



His efforts have been lauded for his unwavering commitment to building a thriving startup environment beyond Ghana’s local ecosystem.

While hopeful about winning, he emphasised the broader impact of the nomination, noting that it could lead to opportunities for his organization to develop startup programs for universities, innovation hubs, and potentially evolve into a unicorn.

The ASEB Awards highlight the significant contributions of ecosystem builders across the continent, recognising individuals who are driving growth and innovation in Africa’s startup landscape.

Mr. Dorkenoo’s alumni profile include affiliations with German Falling Walls Lab, Aspire Leadership Institute, University of British Columbia’s Sauder School, LIFT of The Gracedlife Leadership Center, StArfrica Germany, and the Climate and Development Knowledge Network Ghana.

His earlier recognition include being the 1st Runner-up at the German Falling Walls Lab, a feature in the YUNUS Germany Social Procurement on Plastic Waste, and a three-time Dean’s List Award recipient from the Regional Maritime University.
