Flocare Beauty, a natural skin and hair care brand, has officially reopened its doors at Sakumono Estates in Tema West Municipal Assembly.
Situated near Friday’s Restaurant, a popular landmark, Flocare Beauty aims to cater to the community’s needs with its wide range of 100% natural products.
Flocare Beauty specialises in natural products, particularly babies and facial care. Their offerings include a variety of baby soaps, oils, butter, and hair growth products, as well as facial soaps, serums, scrubs, and oils.
The shop also stocks products for hair care, such as shampoos, conditioners, hair butter, and growth oils, along with a range of skin care items including soaps, lotions, body butter, black soap, and shea butter soap.
The store is easily accessible via Google Maps under the name FlocareBeauty.
The Chief Executive Officer of Flocare Beauty, Christabel Ofori, shared insights into the journey of setting up the shop, which marks a significant milestone for the brand.
“This is like a step to a bigger vision and journey. We started by making products in the kitchen, then moved to a single room, and now we have a well-finished space with a shop front and a dedicated training area.”
She noted that the brand is deeply committed to empowering women at every stage of its operations saying “From sourcing our butters and oils, to the design work and the architecture of our space, we engage women at every step”.
The shop’s unique layout includes a training area at the back, where customers can participate in skill-building activities such as candle making.
“We do a lot of formulation training, and there’s a high demand from people wanting to learn new skills or start their businesses.
“We are very particular about quality, from sourcing to formulation. Our products are FDA-certified, made from 100% natural and organic ingredients, and we strive to innovate with local materials to create effective and simple-to-use products,” she noted, highlighting the brand’s emphasis on quality, backed by her background in chemical engineering.
In addition to in-store purchases, Flocare Beauty’s products are available online at www.flowcarebeauty.com, with delivery options available both locally and internationally. The store operates from Monday to Saturday, providing convenient access for the Sakumono community and beyond.
Flocare Beauty’s journey has been supported by grants and funding, including contributions from the Academy for Women Entrepreneurs programme, sponsored by the U.S. Embassy, and the United States African Development Fund.
The funding covered refurbishing the shop space, transforming it from a container into a polished and functional retail and training area. Additional supports focused on training and quality assurance initiatives for the Flocare team.
