The Golden Bean Hotel, a distinguished hospitality establishment located in the heart of Kumasi has marked its 10th anniversary celebration with series of events that showcased its commitment to excellence and community engagement.

Held under the theme: Celebrating 10 Years of Excellent Hospitality, the celebrations commenced with a vibrant float through the principal streets of Kumasi last week Wednesday, 31st July 2024, where staff members shared their joy with the people of the Ashanti Region to join in the celebration.

A grand dinner was held the next day to show appreciation to the hotel’s stakeholders for their continuous support and loyalty. The hotel then organised inter-departmental games to boost staff morale and foster unity.



Additionally, the event featured health screening and a blood donation drive for the Okomfo Anokye Teaching Hospital blood bank. The Hotel also made significant donations to two orphanage homes in Kumasi and culminated the entire celebrations with a heartfelt thanksgiving service at St. George’s Church in Kumasi on Sunday, 4th August 2024.

10th anniversary dinner

The 10th anniversary celebration was climaxed with a grand dinner. It was a scintillating event attended by the hotel’s Management, Staff, Guests/customers, Partners, Board members, and its mother company, the Produce Buying Company (PBC) who gathered to savour the delicious food, refreshing drinks, and dance to a good music, creating a memorable experience for all attendees.

In his welcoming address, the General Manager of the Golden Bean Hotel, Randy Attuquaye Clottey, reflected on a decade of excellence.

He highlighted the hotel’s growth and numerous accolades, including being recognized as a the best 3-star hotel, Outstanding Hotel of the Year, Fastest Growing Hotel of the Year, and Best Food and Beverage Hotel all in retrospect to its 10 years of existence.

Clottey attributed these achievements to the incredible management, Board, staff, guests, partners and the mother company PBC and expressed gratitude to them for their trust and support. “We plead with you to constantly come, remain loyal to the Golden Bean brand so together we can create a community of mutual trust and respect”.

He also announced that the hotel is in a position to declare a dividend for the first time and plans to expand its room numbers, showing optimism for the future and a commitment to providing exceptional experiences.

Chairperson for the occasion, Mrs. Elizabeth Agyemang, former Deputy Minister of the Ashanti Region who was represented by Mrs. Henrietta Beatrice Owusu Ansah, praised the hotel’s service and expressed hope for its continued growth.

“Personally, I’ve been here on few occasions and I can attest to the fact that your services are unmatched. Bravo to all those who have contributed their quota to this beautiful edifice and we pray for a much more success in future”.

Board Chairman , Paul Adu Gyamfi in his remarks acknowledged the hotel’s creation of a unique experience that blend the rich culture of Ashanti.

He expressed optimism for a bright future and a commitment to continuous improvement.

On his part, Kwaku Nkansah, CEO of PBC highlighted Golden Bean’s financial independence and its significant contribution to PBC’s diversified portfolio.

He expressed gratitude to Asanteman for their support and hoped for a positive growth in the years ahead.

The night was concluded with awards for long-serving and pioneering staff, followed by the cutting of a giant 10th anniversary cake, marking the beginning of a much more positive years ahead.
