Cassona Global enlightens Kumasi healthcare professionals on Mindray ultrasound imaging techniques

Cassona Global Imaging Company Ltd., a leader in healthcare innovation and technology, has held an open seminar for healthcare facilities in Kumasi to provide advanced training and education on Mindray ultrasound imaging techniques.

The initiative, which was held concurrently with the launch of the brand’s Kumasi office, aimed at enhancing the quality of healthcare services provided to communities in the Ashanti Region and beyond by improving the proficiency of healthcare professionals in utilizing ultrasound technology.

Dubbed the ‘Cassona Mindray Demo,’ the seminar demonstrated to the managers of health facilities the advanced capabilities of the Mindray ultrasound machines.



Touching on the motive for the exercise, Chief Executive Officer, John Chigbu, highlighted that the seminar highlighted the advanced capabilities of the Mindray ultrasound machine and its potential to enhance diagnostic imaging. Attendees gained a comprehensive understanding of the machine’s operation and practical applications in clinical settings.

He mentioned that the seminar aimed to educate attendees on the Mindray ultrasound machine, covering its model, components, functions, and operational techniques. “This session was particularly relevant for sonography and radiography students, as well as practicing sonographers and radiographers,” he said.

Radiologist and Clinical Application Specialist in Mindray Imaging Equipment, Dr. Mary Goretty led the seminar. She provided an in-depth lecture on the Mindray ultrasound machine, detailing its model, parts, functions, and how to operate it effectively for image capture.

Following the lecture, Dr. Goretty conducted live demonstrations of the ultrasound machine, with some students from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) acting as phantoms. This practical session allowed attendees to see the machine in action and understand its real-world applications.

Participants had the opportunity to ask questions about the ultrasound machine, which Dr. Goretty addressed efficiently, providing clarity and further insights into the technology.

Participants, including third-year sonography and radiography students from KNUST, as well as practicing sonographers and radiographers, praised the seminar for its detailed and practical approach.

One attendee remarked, “The live demonstration was incredibly insightful and provided a clear understanding of the machine’s capabilities.”

The seminar concluded with an emphasis on the importance of adopting advanced imaging technologies in clinical practice. The students were hopeful of more such activities to provide them with hands-on experience which management of Cassona plans to organize in the future to further educate and train healthcare professionals in the use of innovative imaging equipment.
