The event marked the climax of the 2024 Ghana International Petroleum Conference (GHiPCon), held on 17th-18th July. Organized by the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) in collaboration with the Chamber of Bulk Oil Distribution (CBOD) and the Association of Oil and Marketing Companies (AOMC), under the auspices of the Ministry of Energy, the conference brought together industry stakeholders to synergize and pull resources from each other while promoting high ethics within the sector.

Speaking to the media after receiving the honor, Abdul Fatawu Mohammed expressed his gratitude for such a significant milestone.

“The award is a testament to my unwavering focus on meeting and exceeding customer expectations while adhering to rigorous quality standards over the years. I am extremely overwhelmed with this great achievement,” he said.

Abdul Fatawu Mohammed, the CEO and founder of Fatmoh Ghana Limited (FGL), has over 25 years of experience in the welding and fabrication technology industry, driving growth and leading teams. With a proven track record of building innovative products and driving organizational success in the petroleum industry, his career highlights include:

  • Serving as a welding technician at AS Halaby Industrial Engineering Limited, Kumasi branch, for two years.
  • Working as a welding engineer at Baker Hughes INTEQ, Libya branch, for three years, handling the hard surfacing processes of oil drill string stabilizers, assembling and disassembling oil drilling motors, core barrels, and drilling jars.
  • Serving as a welding coordinator at Assail Oil Drilling Company for four years, handling the installation of oil wellheads and related oil rig works.

As the founder and CEO of Fatmoh Ghana Limited, Mohammed has led the company to become one of the best manufacturers of petroleum road tankers, fuel station underground and surface tanks, tank farms, self-bunded tanks for mining and municipal applications, and other related fabrications.
