In a significant step towards bolstering the Schools and Homes Agric Revival Program (SHARP), a delegation from the Governance Africa Foundation (GAfF) has visited Hungary to explore collaboration opportunities with Agrofeed and other prominent companies. This initiative underscores GAfF’s commitment to facilitating youth involvement in agrobased businesses, focusing on entrepreneurship rather than employment.

The SHARP initiative is designed to engage the youth in agriculture by integrating it into educational curriculums and extracurricular activities. The program aims to instill values of responsibility, entrepreneurship, and environmental consciousness among students through civic clubs established by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) in schools.

As part of its comprehensive approach, SHARP is facilitating the establishment of model farms across all 16 regions of the country. These farms will serve as practical learning centers where students can gain hands-on experience in modern agricultural practices and techniques.

The visit to Hungary marks a pivotal moment in SHARP’s journey, as GAfF seeks to partner with international experts in agribusiness and processing. By collaborating with companies like Agrofeed and engaging with the Hungarian embassy, SHARP aims to provide youth with access to advanced agricultural technologies and practices, thereby enhancing their entrepreneurial capabilities.

This initiative is supported by esteemed sponsors who share our vision for agricultural revival and youth empowerment. SHARP’s sponsorship is funded through the production and distribution of pocket-sized constitutions, which serve as our primary working tool. We extend our gratitude to J.K. Horgle Transport, C. Woermann Gh Ltd, and Imperialdiam UK for their unwavering support. Additionally, our media partner, Business and Financial Times, has been instrumental in disseminating information and raising awareness about the SHARP initiative.

Through these strategic partnerships and international collaborations, GAfF is committed to creating a sustainable and prosperous future for the agricultural sector. By nurturing the next generation of agribusiness leaders and fostering a culture of environmental stewardship, SHARP is poised to make a lasting impact on the nation’s agricultural landscape.
