Makers and Partners appoints Wilfred Neneh Addico as Advisory Partner

Wilfred Neneh Addico, a management consulting expert, has been appointed as Partner in charge of Governance and Risk Advisory Services at Makers and Partners (MAP), a chartered accountancy firm.

His appointment took effect on May 13, 2024, as he leads MAP’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Forensic and Cyber Investigation, Business Process Automation and Transformation service lines.

With over 21 years’ experience in various advisory services Neneh Addico stands out as an affable and a solution-focused individual who brings extensive knowledge and expertise to the MAP team.



Before joining MAP, he was the team lead for Forensic Advisory at MTN Ghana where he led engagements which significantly contributed to the development of policies, processes and procedures (PPPs), securing of systems and overall improvement of the control environment to prevent fraud, abuse and misconduct.

His efforts also contributed to building a sound ethical culture in the organization which ensured the MTN remained sustainable and profitable. Prior to MTN, Neneh worked with the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA), Westminster Primary Care Trust in London, United Kingdom and Discoverytel Ghana Ltd.

Neneh Addico also served as Team lead for Assets Verification and validation for Kpong Irrigation Scheme as part of post implementation review for the rehabilitation and modernization of the Kpong Irrigation Scheme which was a World Bank funded project, through the Ministry of Food and Agriculture (MoFA) and implemented by Ghana Commercial Agriculture Project (GCAP). He currently serves on the Ethics Committee of the Ghana Football Association.

Wilfred is a product of the University of Ghana Business School and Leicester University in the United Kingdom. He is also a member of a number of reputable organizations including the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ghana (ICAG), Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA), and ISACA, an International Professional Association which focuses on Information System Auditing, Risk Management and Governance.

Outlining his role, he noted that MAP will assist businesses to develop their ESG strategy, integrate same into their operations, report and make appropriate disclosures which meet international standards like Global Reporting Initiatives (GRI) to identify, assess, and manage their ESG related risks that could impact their reputation, financial performance, and operating license.

He touched on mentorship programmes, saying, the Firm intends to bring onboard highly skilled individuals particularly the youth, to give them the opportunity to develop themselves in consulting services not just locally but international.

In this regard, MAP will soon partner the University of Ghana Business School to help provide mentorship to bright students to be able to chart path in consulting.
