Access Bank Ghana Receives Dual Honors at 2024 HESS Awards

Access Bank Ghana has been recognized at the Health, Environment, Safety, and Security (HESS) awards, held at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra last Friday. The bank emerged as the Employee Empowered Excellence Award 2024 and the Best Company in Data Security Management Practices 2024.

The awards recognize Access Bank’s efforts in preventing and controlling workplace hazards, demonstrating its commitment to the well-being of its employees and the security of its data.

Reacting to this achievement, Managing Director of Access Bank (Ghana) Plc, Olumide Olatunji said these awards are a testament to our continuous commitment to excellence on all fronts. He said, “We deem it a great honor to receive these awards, particularly being recognized for our unwavering commitment to protecting our customers’ data with the highest standards of security and integrity for the second consecutive time. These awards reaffirm our dedication to creating a safe and secure environment for our employees, customers, and stakeholders. We will continuously invest in new technologies that will help us offer speed, exceptional services, and importantly, security on our customer’s transactions.



On his part, Head of Human Resources (HR), Nana Adu Kyeremateng said the Employee Empowerment Excellence Award highlights the Bank’s devotion to fostering a supportive and empowering work environment. This award is a recognition of our efforts to provide opportunities for growth, development, and engagement, ensuring that every team member can thrive and contribute to our collective success.

The HESS awards celebrate organizations that demonstrate excellence in health, environment, safety, and security management. Access Bank’s recognition is evidence of its dedication to international best practices in HESS management, with initiatives, such as comprehensive staff training on safety procedures and practices, effective employee sensitization on health and safety, and robust data security management practices, have been acknowledged as industry-leading.
