NPP Parliamentary candidate for Shama donates 2,650 maths set to 68 schs

Mr. Isaac Kwamina Afful, the New Patriotic Party (NPP) Parliamentary Candidate for Shama, has distributed 2,650 mathematical sets to 68 public and private schools in the Shama District of the Western Region.

This, is to support the students ahead of the Basic Education Certificates Examination (BECE) nextmonth.  



According to the NPP candidate, the gesture forms part of measures to ensure that no candidate, lacks basic learning inputs required for the examination.

He explained that “the mathematical sets are very important not only in the study of mathematics but in other disciplines”.    

“I am here to encourage you to give off your best, eschew laziness, and be committed to your bookswithin these few weeks” he said.

“Your teachers have made it clear that they have adequately prepared you. Be conversant with what you have been taught, if you need any clarification, your teachers are available, be focused, determined and study hard to come out with excellent results” he added.

Mr. Afful, who is also the Guantuahen of ShamaTraditional Area with the stool name Nana KwaminaDekyi I, encouraged parents and guardians to ensure they offer the needed assistance to their wards, for a successful examination.

“I am certain that you will come out with good grades, our expectation for the Shama District, is very high. Anyone with who will come out with distinction, will be offered with scholarship” he said.

He continued that “we expect you to further your education to the SHS, tertiary and beyond so you will help in the development of our district”.
